Joshua Weis, Board of Advisors, Business Growth
Josh Weis is a tenured executive who has navigated nearly $3B in private equity business exit and multiple M&A transactions. He is currently the CEO of Office Pride, a Franchisor model in Palm Harbor, Florida, focusing heavily on M&A over the next 5 years. He is ultimately responsible for rapidly growing the business through organic and inorganic acceleration, ultimately providing a healthy exit for the investors. He brings a high level of business acumen and strategic business positioning for companies aimed at growth and expansion in a short timeframe. Josh resides in the Greater Tampa Bay Florida with his wife and two young children. He is an active member of his church and a Board Member for New Life Solutions.
Guy Waters, Board of Advisors, Insurance & Risks
Guy Waters began working in the insurance industry in 1978 alongside his brother and uncle. In 1991 he, along with his brother, opened and grew an insurance placement business, Excess and Surplus Lines agency, Clearwater Underwriters working directly with Loyd’s of London. Having grown their business to a multi-million revenue business, in 2020 to sold to WorldWide Facilities which subsequently sold to Amwin’s for a significant exit. Guy will be advising on business strategy, company insurance policies, risk mitigation policies, and property insurance requirements for the fund. Guy lives in the Greater Tampa Bay Florida area with his wife and they have 3 grown children.
James “Chip” Freeman, Board of Advisors, Financial & Succession
James W. “Chip” Freeman, CPA, is the managing partner for the Clearwater CPA firm Smith and Freeman, PA, CPA’s. With over 40 years in business, the firm’s services encompass business tax and accounting, specializing in real estate partnerships, equity, and joint ventures. Since 2014 Chip has been involved as the CPA with several real estate partnership investment groups owning both single-family and multifamily residential properties in Florida. Chip is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Chip will be advising on tax planning and strategy of the fund, the management company, and syndications the fund invests in. He will also create and manage the fund’s succession plan. Chip is a graduate of Florida State University, a native Floridian, and he and his wife Barbara, have 5 children and 5 grandchildren.
